The Journey

THE STORY

Where It All Began

Eight Years Ago, Everything Changed

I threw my leg back over a motorcycle for the first time in twenty five year. I didn't know how addicted I would become. I didn't know what it would turn into. But I knew I needed to ride.

My first big overnight trip was the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado a 1,200-mile journey leaving from Salt Lake City Utah. Twelve hundred miles of pure, unfiltered road that carved through some of Utah's greatest roads and the San Juan Mountains like it was daring you to look away.

I was hooked.

The First Ride

Million Dollar Highway, Colorado

The Roads, The Towns, The Bars

That first ride showed me something I'd been missing my entire life. The roads weren't just pavement, they were stories. The towns weren't just stops, they were characters. And the bars? They were the punctuation marks at the end of a long day on the bike.

I saw mountain passes that made my heart race. I rolled through small towns where time moved slower. I sat at dive bars where the locals knew every story worth telling, and the beer was cold enough to make you forget the miles.

Every year since, I've done multiple trips. Spring rides through the Rockies. Summer runs up to Montana. Fall colors in Wyoming. Each trip added more miles, more memories, more favorite spots that I kept coming back to.

Why Rides & Dives Exists

Not every rider gets to experience what I've been fortunate enough to see. Not everyone has the time, the routes, or the inside knowledge of where to stop, what to ride, and which dive bars are worth the detour.

That's why I started documenting all of this.

Rides & Dives is my way of sharing the roads that changed me, the towns that surprised me, and the bars that made me feel at home 500 miles from anywhere. It's a guide for riders who want to experience the West the way it's meant to be experienced.. on two wheels, with no agenda except the next curve in the road.

This isn't about social media. It's about the ride.

The Journey Continues

130,000 miles later, I'm still finding new roads. Still discovering hidden gems. Still pulling into dive bars where nobody knows my name but everyone treats me like I belong.

Every ride teaches me something. Every mile adds to the story. And every stop reminds me why I started riding in the first place—because out here, on these roads, you're free.

So if you're looking for your next adventure, your next great ride, or just a cold beer at the end of a long day—welcome. You're in the right place.

Let's ride.
